A Cova da Serpe and Britonia are two craft beer brands from Lugo (Spain). In our Brewery we elaborate both of them only with hight quality malted cereals, hoops and yeasts. In the brewing process, time and temperatures are carefully respected in order to maintain their especial flavour and organoleptic properties. The final result is pure, authentic and unique Ales.
A PEMENTEIRA - peppers
Where the river Ulla loses its name, before it reaches the sea, the Padron’s Land appears. From there the Herbón Pepper grows, a unique product that reflects the most traditional knowledge of Galician women. With their heritage we look at the future, and we don’t lose sight of the essences. Rooted in our best farmlands, we bring the selected fruit of our hands. This variety of pepper remains as an artisan product and its delicate taste is able to convince the most sophisticated palates. From our centennial vegetable gardens here we are with our little green treasure: “Some are hot and some are not” (as we say). Enjoy with pleasure of its delicate flavour.
ALBARIÑO ABALO MENDEZ - wine
Antonio Mendez Abalo is the alma mater of this family winery cultivates its own vineyard of just two hectares of old vines that holds the signature grape of the Rias Baixas Albariño. Selecting the best grapes of his farm, and combining elements of traditional winemaking with modern oenology criteria, Abalo Mendez develops a different white, elegant and clear sophisticated character.

Benboa is a small company from Galicia, located in a privileged environment, in the heart of a natural park in the Arousa Estuary, situated in an ancient salted fish factory at a small village named Corrubedo. Benito Santos was a man with a dream. While working the albariño vineyards of his grandparents, he one day envisioned how the world would know and appreciate this noble grape variety. After years of dedication, he founded his own winery in 1979. BICO DE XEADO – ice cream
The main feature of our ice cream is that they are all made with fresh milk we produce in our own farm. Therefore, this is the main distinguishing characteristic, as we control the main ingredient (approximately 50% of the ingredients is milk) from the production of fodder, feed and care for our animals, milking and pasteurization of milk. Our manufacturing process is handmade and we use the best fresh fruits and raw materials (no artificial colourings nor preservatives). Therefore, it is an any time of day food and that you can eat throughout the year. (all ice creams are gluten free)

CACHENA DE SAN BREIXO – artisan organic veal meat
Considered the world's smallest cattle breed and indigenous to Galicia they are famous for their harmonious bodies, large antlers and expressive faces with a look of permanent alert. A couple gave up their successful jobs as hoteliers to set up this award-winning farm. Allowed to roam free, these pure-bred cows feed 100 per cent on natural products such as maternal milk, pasture, selected fodder, additive-free cereals, berries, acorns, chestnuts and mushrooms. As a result, their meat is deliciously different, high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 and considered by discerning experts to be some of the best money can buy.
CALABIZO – pumpkin chorizo
As gourmets, two unemployed women wanted to recover traditional Galician recipes where vegetable products have a key role. That's how they ended up inventing this veggie sausage. They tried several vegetables, but the one that responded best to the drying, curing and smoking process was the pumpkin. However, not just any pumpkin, its identity remains a trade secret! Amazingly, Calabizo sausage tastes the same as the traditional pork chorizo when cooked.

CASTELO DE SAN LORENZO - spirits
Through a meticulous care in the raw material and renewed, elegant and attractive image, San Lorenzo Castelo offers a superb and amazing product line that is always characterized by its highest quality.
It owes its name to the seventeenth century fortress located in Goián, known as "Castelo San Lorenzo" and scene of continuous battles that took place on both banks of the Minho river. Unlike then and like our spirits and liqueurs, it represents the union of peoples rather than their distance.
CONSERVAS CURRICÁN – traditional, artisan cannery
Conservas Artesanas Curricán S.L. was born as a women's initiative, women that have learnt from the people of Burela the traditional way to preserve all the quality and full flavour of the local tuna. We carefully select the best raw material in the port of origin, giving priority to artisanal fishing techniques and the art of trolling, and perform a 100% hand drawing, using the traditional method for obtaining a tinned "like homemade". We work with Galician products from the area, preparing each species in their coastal and maximum quality guarantee as the origin of the product and respect the environment by working captures in their biologically appropriate cycles.
CROKETAS D’ - croquette
Croketas D’ was born to offer a different homemade croquette, crafted in Galicia. We want our business card to be the quintessential croquette with a delicious taste, creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Our recipes are elaborated with typical Spanish and other internationally known ingredients as Salmon, O Cebreiro cheese, Oak smoked beef, Ham or even mussels, to mention a few, many of them protected by a PDO. Our family has been making fine drinks since 1877 when our great-great-grandfather D. Jose Ozores founded a business producing liqueurs. We continue this tradition to this day, building on his traditions in our modern distillery. We are the only gin in the world using a distillate of Mirabelle and Albariño and are proud to grow, harvest and distil these ourselves to create this wonderful gin.
GONZÁLEZ JAMONES - ham
González Hams is a family company, was founded in 1923 by Manuel González Pérez and it was passed from generation to generation until today. In González Hams we are dedicated to the production of meat products of pork, cured and fresh.
Our products are characterized by artisan elaboration, sometimes following recipes of the beginnings of the company, by traditional healing in drying and subsequent storage in the cellar. Own farm with Duroc breed pigs, which allows us to control the process of genetic selection, and the utmost care in terms of food because the farm is registered in “Consello Regulador Lacón Gallego I.G.P. (Protected Geographical Indication – PGI)” who supervise the food of the animals.
We employ advanced techniques for slaughter, cutting and healing, ensuring the entire production cycle in a high quality and safety.
GRELOS DE GALICIA – turnip tops
Few garden products are so ingrained in the culture as Galician turnip greens. Due to its adaptation to cold and wet weather, it is perfectly suited to Galicia and, over the centuries, references to its cultivation and consumption are numerous. This peppery Galician vegetable, is one of the basic ingredients in some of the most popular Galician dishes such as broth, Galician pot soup made of potatoes, fava beans, smoked chorizo, animal fat and cooked ham (lacón) with these amazing turnip greens, the best remedy against cold weather. A versatile and distinctive vegetable that helps differentiate Galician cuisine from all the other regions.

The enormous life force flowing from the Atlantic Ocean on its Northern Sea, is transmitted in a very particular way to the people of its coasts, and although they can be quite different, they share a common culture and customs, such as traditions around seafood.

LACÓN – shoulder of pork
The term lacón is a Galician word derived from the Latin lacca and refers to the pork foreleg, especially its cured meat. Rooted in old traditions this pinky red meat is delicious roasted, boiled or cured and is often accompanied with turnip greens. Also accompanied by boiled potatoes, chickpeas and chorizo, is a typical Galician carnival dish, which flavour is known worldwide.

We have been in the pastry world for over 20 years and we have specialized in a product which has positioned itself as a reference in the Galician cuisine. In addition to our specialty, we have developed other high quality products such as pilgrim cake, the ladies, the pistachio bicas and almond or pies, among others. We have expanded our product range with the specialties of our employees, grouping them under our brand and supporting its expansion.
MAGUS - San Simón Da Costa Cheese
To learn about the origin of the cheese we have to go back to the times of the Castrenian towns that inhabited the mountains from A Carba to Xistral. In the middle ages, the importance of this cheese was of such great value, that it was used as the form of payment in forums and tithes. Its distinct smoked flavour has become its trademark, thanks to the wood that is used, from the common tree of the area: the birch tree.
The San Simón cheese that comes out of the workshop, elaborated following its traditional recipe, has become recognized as a high quality cheese in Galicia as well beyond our borders. Its taste and texture triumph!
MEL DE GALICIA - honey
Galicia's mild, rainy climate, granitic soil and the influence of winds and sea air, give rise to a rich and varied flora. This allows for the production of mono-floral (one unique flower) honey as well as a range of milflores (a thousand flowers) honey.
Galician apiaries are small and as such the beehives lend themselves to being pampered with care by dedicated beekeepers. Quality in the extraction processes and packaging distinguish this very special product.
MENDUIÑA - beer
We guarantee the best quality in genuine beers of limited production. We brew Ales as well as Lagers, re-interpret the styles and create our own recipes, combining tradition and innovation to achieve a unique flavour. Combining in an exquisite way pure Galician spring water and whole hops varieties with the best malted cereals, we create a beer of defined personality: Ours is a 100% natural non-pasteurised, additive, preservative and extract free beer, without any additional rice or maize ingredients and GMO free.
MERLUZA DE CELEIRO - hake
Line-caught hake is one of the firm’s favourites in their dishes due to its excellent consistency (fine, smooth flesh), whilst also permitting the preparation of a myriad number of dishes due to the extreme versatility of the main ingredient.
MEXILLÓN DE GALICIA - mussel
Its documented consumption dates back to the eighth century and now, all these centuries later, the Galician mussel continues to take pride of place on the gourmet map. Certainly, the Galician Rias, considered to be one of the most important phytoplankton deposits on the planet, offer the mussel the perfect place to feed. The abundance of phytoplankton, the mussel's main food, provides the texture, flavour and colour that make the Galician mussel different from any other in the world. MIRABEL DO ROSAL – Mirabelle fresh fruit, syrup and organic jam
In the South of Galicia, at the mouth of the Minho river, Froitas Do Rosal produces and commercializes Mirabel Do Rosal, a local fruit considered the "Galician Gourmet Fruit".
It is a small golden-yellow fruit with reddish touches. It’s sweet, aromatic and flavourful, very suitable for fresh consumption. A quirk of nature that can only be enjoyed from July 15 to August 10.
Froitas Do Rosal sells processed products of the Mirabel do Rosal branded "Alén Do Val", syrup and jam. They are unique products of limited production and high quality, in which all ingredients are from organic farming and have been carefully processed paying attention to detail. MONTEPICATO – cold meat
Embutidos Montepicato was born as a family fabric of cold meat and salted products, and has succeeded in being faithful to the habits and production methods of the traditional ways.
What was first born as an artisan fabric of traditional “chorizo” sausage, is nowadays a modern facility that uses sophisticated technology to ensure the quality of its products. All this while still using the same artisan methods that made cold meat products from Galicia famous: a strict selection of raw material and a smoking process that uses natural wood.
The honesty with which the products are presented to the final consumer have made Galician cuisine a synonym of purity. This is one of the aims and motives of Embutidos Montepicato in all its wide range of products: chorizón, salchichón, loin, ham, bacon, belly pork or salted products.
MONTERREI D.O. - wine
Monterrei, meaning the king’s mountain, is located in the province of Ourense just across the Portuguese border. The ideal place to view the region’s vineyards is from the hilltop fortress at the town of Monterrei, which was used to fend off the Portuguese in the 17th century.
The Monterrei DO is Galicia’s most recent having been created just over a decade ago. It has a rich cultural backdrop to support its wines: most of the region’s natural springs are found here and the market town of Verín has a long tradition of colourful carnivals, very popular in Spain.
Winemaking has traditionally focused on white grapes, mostly Doña Blanca (or Dona Branca as it is known locally). However, the more impressive whites come from the Godello or Treixadura grapes. Red wines, mostly from Mencía and increasingly Tempranillo, are emerging with greater complexity from some of the recently established producers.

ORUJO DE GALICIA
The orujo from Galicia is a spirit drink produced by the fermentation and distillation of lees and marc obtained from grapes harvested in the geographical area of Galicia. It may be sold in the year of its production, either immediately or after a period of rest, or after being subjected to an aging process. Important to mention is also the wide range of spirit types and flavours such as coffee and herb liqueurs, perfect after food or at any time.

We are a young and different company of winegrowers founded in 2006 in the heart of Salnes Valley, Galicia. An alternative to classic Spanish wineries capable of elaborating a great wine and bringing the albariño culture to anyone in the world. To the most traditional elaboration, a novel column for reducing methanol content is included. PORCO CELTA – artisan organic Galician native pork
The Celtic pig breed had almost disappeared in the 1980’s, surviving only in Galician rural families. These isolated examples in different bastions of Galicia, represented the main foundation for the recovery of the breed in the late nineties.
The Celtic pig is characterised by its hardiness, seasonal grazing and feeding on natural resources such as acorns, chestnuts and root vegetables from the extensive and rich Galician native forests.
The porco celta meat, qualified for many years as fat, harmful to health, is one of the foods that total fat is, in large part, rich in unsaturated fatty acids, known for their healthy qualities and can be included in a balanced diet and, if lean parts are chosen it’s included on low calorie diets, thanks to the pig’s healthy diet itself.
PORTO-MUIÑOS – sea vegetables
Porto-Muiños is a family company formed by husband and wife team Antonio Muíños and Rosa Mirás, who started to sell seaweed in 1998. During the first few years they processed seaweed to sell it dried and canned. Nowadays, their products can be found in powdered, salted and fresh forms, the latter being very successful. Added to tapas, starters, salads, soups, stews, rice and pastas, fish and seafood, meat dishes or any main course and even desserts, Porto-Muiños seaweeds enhance all types of dishes.

QUEIXO DO CEBREIRO - cheese
The Catholic Monarchs, Charles III, Elizabeth from Portugal... these are some of the monarchs who knew all about Queixo do Cebreiro. In the seventeenth century this product was the fourth most expensive in the world but by 1989 it was only made for personal consumption. However, the food of kings is back again now to enjoy a well-deserved reputation. Fantastic on its own, with honey or other fruit-based desserts it's also hugely versatile and widely used in salads, soups, fish and meat dishes, with seafood, pasta and vegetables. The sky's the limit!
QUESERÍA O BREXEO – tetilla cheese
This tetilla cheese is characterised by its conical or convex shape. It has a thin, elastic bark, is a yellow straw colour and is smooth, with few holes and white to ivory yellowish. Its fragrance is soft and slightly acidic with a creamy, buttery, somewhat acidic and slightly salty taste.
RÍAS BAIXAS D.O. - wine
The Atlantic Ocean, pine forests lining hills that overlook fjord-like inlets, vines trained on pergolas and light, fresh, aromatic wines to complement the finest array of seafood. Welcome to Galicia, green Spain and the home of the country’s most sought-after quality wine: Albariño from the DO of coastal Rías Baixas.
This DO is still barely out of its teens, yet no upmarket restaurateur would exclude an Albariño from its list, especially if a range of fish is offered. The local markets of Galicia feature a vast choice including highly prized percebes (goose barnacles), octopus, oysters, prawns, every variety of squid, bream and sea bass, which go perfectly with Albariño wines. Thanks to a leap in quality and the benefits of modern winemaking techniques, Albariño has captured the imagination both at home and abroad and vineyards have been expanding in recent years to keep pace with demand for the wines.
RIBEIRA SACRA D.O. - wine
Ribeira Sacra lies at the heart of Galicia and this DO is often described the region’s most scenic. The landscape is a combination of rivers – the Miño and the Sil rivers meet here – and lush green hillsides featuring spectacular terraced vineyards. Tending the vines on these terraces is back-breaking work but the rewards can increasingly be seen in the wines emerging from the area.
Located some distance from the busier towns of the coast, the area is particularly tranquil. You might just hear the sound of a distant gaita (bagpipe) to remind you that you are in Celtic Spain.
RIBEIRO D.O. - wine
Ribeiro, situated in the south of Galicia and to the east of the Rías Baixas DO, features a warmer climate than its coastal neighbour and not as much rain. Its vineyards are situated to the north and south of the main river, the picturesque Miño. White wines dominate in Ribeiro and the fruity, aromatic Treixadura is the main grape often with a touch of Albariño, Godello, Torrontés or Loureira to enhance blends. The wines often reach 13º, but they have good balancing acidity and structure making them an ideal match for food.
Galicia is famous for its wide variety of sea and river fish. Local specialities include meat or fish empanadas (large flat pasties made with olive oil), pan de maíz (maize bread), the creamy white tetilla cheese and the local green pimientos de Padrón (chilly green peppers).
TARTA DE SANTIAGO - cake
The recipe for the Tarta de Santiago has an unknown origin, because there is no data of almond consumption in Galicia throughout the Middle Ages. But it is known that this delicious product was a luxury that few people could afford. In May 2010, the EU gave Tarta de Santiago PGI status within Europe. To qualify, the cake must be made in the Autonomous Community of Galicia and contain at least 33% almonds, excluding the base.
TERNERA GALLEGA - veal
Commercialised meat such as Ternera Gallega comes from calves bred in small family run farms and feeding places. They use their own workforce and comply with traditional rules and guidelines for forage in Galicia regarding the animals' handling and care. Once weaned, calves are fed using the farm’s natural forage and fodder exclusively made using a vegetable origin, above all cereals, previously controlled and authorised by the Regulatory Board.
TERRA DO CASTELO - wine
Covering an area of 3500 m2 this winery is in the denomination of origin Ribeiro, ensuring a high quality wine that combines the tradition of a historic wine region with the most modern processing methods.
Treixadura predominantly grape in this wine are also present other typical varieties of the area as Mencia, torrontés or godello. Terra do Castelo has capacity to produce two million liters of wine, made with care and professionalism.
VALDEORRAS D.O. - wine
The DO of Valdeorras is situated at the gateway to Galicia in the east of the region. It is made up of three towns: A Rúa, Villamartín and O Barco. The River Sil, which flows from east to west through the DO, is the dominant feature on the landscape. Valdeorras is situated around 150km from the coast and the climate is the most continental of all the DOs of Galicia. In recent years there has been a lot of excitement surrounding the white Godello grape, which has been rediscovered as a variety with great personality and positioned as the region’s star performer. Godello is now to Valdeorras what Albariño is to the Rías Baixas.
VANAGANDR - gin

Veiga Naúm is the brand that the Bodegas Riojanas S.A. Group has chosen to position itself in the D.O. Rías Baixas, a wine region located in Galicia that produces the most renowned and reputed white wines in Spain.
